Lou and Don talk baseball in elevator

Don

So Lou, you're been in the bigs for all these years, tell me, who was the best pitcher you ever saw?

I mean you worked the '65 World Series, right? You saw Koufax at his prime! Was he the best?

Koufax had to be the best, was he not? Blazing fuckin' fastball. And that curveball, it defied the very laws of physics! Who else was even in his league?

Lou

I just call 'em as I see 'em. Don't keep track of who's the best. Truth is, there's a lot of good pitchers out there, but they all make mistakes and they all have their bad days.

Don

Ah, just like umpires, right?

Lou

Nope. From the first pitch to the final out, I'm perfect.

My only mistakes happen after midnight.

Don

Now you're taking a page outa my book! So who's gonna win the opener tomorrow?

Lou

Whoever executes the best.

Don

The smart money is going for Phoenix. The Stars are rebuilding. New manager, new everything, except catcher Joe Robinson. But one guy can't do it all.

Lou

It's fifty-fifty. Depends who executes.
